Morgan Stanley released a report, citing BYD's positive profit alert which expected the 1-3Q23 net profit to rise 120%-142% YoY to RMB20.5-22.5 billion, which implies that the 3Q23 net profit will rise 67%-102% YoY to record RMB9.5-11.5 billion, which is well beyond market expectation. Morgan Stanley projected BYD's share price to react positively, but the market may worry about the sustainability of its strong performance since the price cuts in the mainland's NEV market started at the end of 3Q23, as well as the possibility of its market share peaking, inventory increasing, competition intensifying and the export situation becoming more acute. Morgan Stanley rated BYD H-shares as Equal-weight with a target price of HKD249. Vor allem das Argument mit den Preissenkungen zählt nur für BYD, bei Tesla erstmal Kursziel um ca 50% erhöht....das die noch arbeiten dürfen 😃
