OK - apparently the numbers were worse than I previously understood.
20k Foundayo patients is through yesterday (!), week 4, not Friday last week (week 3).
The apples-to-apples number is something like (through week 4):
Foundayo: 20k patients
Oral Wegovy: ~150k patients

Morgen bleibt es spannend, die Zahlen für foundayo kann man ja schon ableiten für morgen. Spoiler: sie bleiben bescheiden. Interessant wird ob wegovy wieder moederat wächst oder jetzt richtig fahrt aufnimmt 🙂

At the same time $NVO says more than 1 million are on illegal compounded semaglutide.
All current compounded Tirzepatide and semaglutide could easily be supplied by $LLY and NVO. There’s more than enough capacity for now.
What all are waiting to see is how many are allowed to get access to obesity through Medicare.
This administration is anything but supportive of increased Medicare spending.
So even though up to 40 million seniors could fall in under the official guidelines, I want to see it before I believe it.
For each 1 million seniors that get acces, it will cost $2.4B per year.
So where will the administration put a cap?
2 million seniors?
5 million seniors?
10 million seniors.
I say single digits million.
