Iran is not looking for a ceasefire, but for an end to this war
We have spoken to an Iranian official and he clearly denied that Tehran requested a ceasefire.
Yesterday, Iran’s FM Araghchi told us that Iran is not looking for a ceasefire but for an end to this war.
They have been repeating this line. They have also been reporting that they are ready for long war of attrition that is at least six months.
From an Iranian point of view, a ceasefire does not serve Iran because it opens the chance for the freedom of action for Israel and the US, and this can be repeated anytime. What Iranians want is a complete end.
