Nvidia (NVDA), AMD, and TSMC (TSM) Stocks Fall Despite a Bullish Morgan Stanley Report William White Jun 26, 2026, 04:14 PM A new Morgan Stanley report points to strong future demand ahead for both Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices chips, while also highlighting the growing need for TSMC’s advanced chip packaging. Even so, the shares were down on Friday. Morgan Stanley expects Nvidia’s AI data center revenue to climb 52% year-over-year in 2027. That view is based in part on rising use of TSMC’s CoWoS-L advanced chip packaging, which Nvidia uses for AI GPUs like Blackwell and Rubin. Morgan Stanley estimates Nvidia’s CoWoS-L demand could reach about 910,000 units in 2027, up roughly 40% year-over-year. The report also said strong CoWoS-R bookings leave room for even more AI GPU output. Morgan Stanley’s report also sees AMD gaining ground in server CPUs. The firm projects AMD’s 2nm EPYC Venice chips will reach about 6.75 million units in 2027, up from about 1.25 million in 2026. That would top Nvidia’s 3nm Vera CPU, which the firm expects to reach about 5.75 million units in the same year.
