US-Präsident Donald Trump hat der Europäischen Union wegen einer neuerlichen Wettbewerbsstrafe für den Google-Konzern mit erhöhten Zöllen gedroht. Die EU werde einen "sehr hohen Preis" zahlen für die Rekordbuße von 890 Millionen Euro, erklärte Trump in seinem Onlinedienst Truth Social. Er kündigte eine neue Zolluntersuchung gegen die EU an und begründete diese mit dem angeblichen "Ausrauben amerikanischer Unternehmen". Trump schrieb weiter, den Europäern werde "so bald wie möglich ein erheblicher Zoll auferlegt".
