We’re thrilled to share some good news from Denmark: After a six-month process, Esbjerg City Council yesterday unanimously approved Quantafuel’s Environmental Impact application for our planned new recycling plant in Esbjerg. The project consists of a feedstock pre-treatment plant integrated with a chemical recycling plant. The pre-treatment facility will sort plastic waste into qualities suitable for our unique chemical recycling process, as well as traditional mechanical recycling - ensuring an unmatched plastic recycling grade. In addition, with full tracking and logistics capacities, we will be able to document every step of the value chain!   Did you know that Europe has set a target of a 55% plastic recycling rate by 2025? Denmark’s target is even higher, with a recycling rate of 65% for packaging material. We are excited to be a part of reaching this goal and to make a difference!
