Teil 3 The Insheim acquisition and Landau brine agreement are a fitting end to 2021, which has been a milestone year for Vulcan. While there too many team achievements to mention, some highlights include: Completing our Pre-Feasibility Study Raising $320m across two institutional capital raises Significantly growing our expert technical teams in the field of geothermal and lithium extraction, partly through acquisitions of existing engineering businesses, and partly through organic growth Signing four offtake agreements and one term sheet, most recently with Volkswagen Producing our first battery quality lithium hydroxide monohydrate sample from our pilot plant, which was designed, commissioned and now operated by our in-house team Acquiring two electric deep drill rigs, a scarce and strategic asset in Germany and a key enabler of renewable heating. Importantly, we continue to grow a unique world-leading scientific and commercial team in the fields of lithium chemicals and geothermal renewable energy. This best-in-class team is one of the key strengths of Vulcan and will be instrumental in our ability to successfully execute on our project development strategy in the months and years to come. Finally, I would like to thank the whole Vulcan family, our shareholders and all our stakeholders for their contributions during this transformational year. Our work is an important statement of what can be achieved with the right scientific approach at this critical juncture of global climate change. It is our shared drive to decarbonise the world, coupled with our strict environmental values, that will be fundamental to ensuring that our journey together is a successful one. Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year, Thank you all for your support Yours Sincerely,

Teil 2 Landau brine offtake agreement In addition to the acquisition of Insheim, we have executed a 20-year brine offtake agreement with geox GmbH, the operational Landau geothermal renewable energy plant in the Upper Rhine Valley owned by the IKAV Group, a Luxembourg-based renewable energy fund manager and operator. The Landau geothermal plant is approximately 6km from our newly acquired Insheim plant. Under the terms of the agreement, Vulcan has the right to purchase and extract the lithium from the brine produced from Landau, and return it to the plant for re-injection, with expected brine volume from the production well of at least 100 l/s, subject to the financing and drilling of a re-injection well which can accommodate the current production well flow, and with an offtake start date of 30 December 2024. The existing production well at Landau has the tested ability to produce at a rate of over 100 l/s, but an additional re-injection well is planned to help accommodate this flow. In addition, subject to obtaining the relevant permissions from the authorities, the Landau plant will provide access to accommodate Vulcan’s demonstration lithium extraction plant, with a target start-up date of Q2 2022. Vulcan has been successfully operating its first lithium extraction pilot plant at Landau since April 2021. Lithium grades in the brine from Landau well GTLA-1 are approximately 180 mg/l Li (Sanjuan et al, 2016). Vulcan will seek, subject to positive feasibility studies, to incorporate this offtake agreement into its Phase 1 development plans. DFS update The acquisition and brine offtake agreement positions Vulcan to potentially expand the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and increase production in response to significant customer demand for sustainable lithium from our Zero Carbon Lithium™ Project. As a result, we are targeting completion of the Phase 1 DFS in H2 2022, updated from our previous target of mid-‘22, to accommodate the inclusion of more project areas into expanded production studies. The Vulcan team remains focused on developing our world-first dual renewable energy and Zero Carbon Lithium™ business, and our lithium production target start date of CY 2024 remains unchanged. You can read the full announcement here.

Mail von 23:02, Teil 1 Vulcan becomes renewable energy producer with geothermal plant acquisition Dear Friends, Please accept our apologies for two letters so close together, but a lot has happened this week. Following on from our announcement on Wednesday that our planned production is now fully booked out following definitive offtake agreements with Volkswagen Group, Stellantis, Renault Group and Umicore, and a binding term sheet with LG Energy Solution, we have today finalised some agreements to become a renewable energy generator and secure immediate access to geothermal brine operations, as part of the upscaling of our future development plans. Insheim renewable energy plant acquisition Vulcan’s unique Zero Carbon Lithium™ Project aims to produce both renewable geothermal energy and lithium hydroxide for electric vehicles for the European market. Today marks a significant step on this journey with the acquisition of an operational geothermal renewable energy plant, with proven lithium-in-brine grades, in the Upper Rhine Valley, Germany. Notably, the purchase establishes Vulcan as a revenue generating, renewable energy producer and sees us become one of only three operational renewable energy companies on the ASX who solely generate zero carbon renewable energy. Currently owned by regional energy supplier Pfalzwerke AG, at present the plant has the technical ability to produce a maximum of 4.8MW renewable power, equivalent to approximately 8,000 households, with an additional ability to produce heating. The Insheim Plant pumps lithium-bearing brine to the surface for geothermal energy generation before the brine is reinjected into the reservoir. We have said from the outset that our Zero Carbon Lithium™ Project has the potential to generate dual revenue from geothermal renewable energy and lithium battery chemicals sales. The Insheim Plant will be an initial positive source of revenue for Vulcan, capitalising on the favourable Feed-in Tariff for geothermal power in Germany, and a step in the journey towards our planned large-scale deployment of renewable energy and lithium production. Funded with a portion of the proceeds from our September institutional $200 million capital raising, the acquisition is consistent with Vulcan’s strategy to acquire and upgrade existing brownfield renewable energy and lithium-bearing brine infrastructure and to de-risk and grow our Zero Carbon Lithium™ Project. The acquisition also includes 100% ownership of the Insheim production licence surrounding the Insheim Plant. Following an MoU signed in November 2019, Vulcan had already completed the Maiden Indicated Lithium-Brine Mineral Resource Estimation at the Insheim license in January 2020, reporting an Indicated Mineral Resource of 722,000 t of contained Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE), with a lithium brine grade of 181 mg/l Li2. We will formally take over the plant from 1 January 2022 and will retain all existing local employees as part of the transition. We also plan to invest in the expansion and modernisation of the power plant.
