Für Apple ist das erste Geschäftsquartal des Fiskaljahres 2025 mit einem Gewinnplus zu Ende gegangen. Das Ergebnis je Aktie summierte sich auf 2,40 US-Dollar nach einem EPS von 2,19 US-Dollar im Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres. Damit schlug sich Apple auf Ergebnisseite besser als erwartet: Analysten hatten zuvor für den Gewinn je Aktie einen Wert von 2,35 US-Dollar in Aussicht gestellt.

Der Umsatz wuchs unterdessen im Berichtszeitraum von 119,58 Milliarden US-Dollar auf 124,3 Milliarden US-Dollar. Die Entwicklung der Erlöse fiel im Rahmen der Prognosen aus: Experten hatten zuvor einen Umsatz von 124,27 Milliarden Euro im für Apple überaus wichtigen Weihnachtsquartal erwartet.
Die Apple-Aktie reagiert nachbörslich an der NASDAQ auf die Zahlen und gewinnt stellenweise 0,5 Prozent auf 238,78 US-Dollar.
Der iPhone-Hersteller liefert sich aktuell mit Microsoft und NVIDIA ein Rennen um den Titel "wertvollster Konzern der Welt".

Cook told CNBC that there were three factors in the company’s China performance. He said that half of the 11.1% decline was due to a change in “channel inventory,” the fact that Apple Intelligence hasn’t launched in the region and that after the quarter ended, China issued a national subsidy that would stimulate some Apple product sales.
“If you look at the negative 11, half of the decline is due to a change in channel inventory, and so the operational performance is better,” Cook said.
