EDGEAI is raising the bar on battery life for utility meters by licensing BrainChip's Akida 2 IP for their next-generation smart metering SoC. The Akida 2 architecture computes only when something changes, so instead of burning power continuously like conventional AI chips, it sits dormant until there is actually something worth processing, allowing the meter's battery to last.
Water, gas, and electricity meters that deliver real-time AI at the point of acquisition. And still hit 8 years of operating life on a reduced battery footprint.

Palantir Technologies + NVIDIA recently gave us a strong Sovereign AI Operating System reference architecture, absolutely outstanding in fact. The technical paper below adds one more thing: IBM Spectrum Symphony as the heterogeneous compute ontology layer that lets neuromorphic processors via BrainChip's Akida, edge sensors, and more operate as peers alongside GPUs and other heterogeneous resources, capably extending Foundry’s Ontology.
Lots of detail included about Symphony as well, for those who really want to dig in and learn about what makes it so valuable as a dynamic compute platform.

Wieviele Start ups überleben denn?
Schau mal bei Pharma wie schnell die Startups übernommen werden wenn sie ein Produkt haben. Ich bin ja selbst investiert und voller Hoffnung. Das geht aber schon zu lange mit dem Durchbruch.

Eines ist absolut sicher.
Wir werden alle eine Antwort bekommen, die Frage ist nur wann☝️
Und wie diese ausfällt.
Meines Erachtens ist Brainchip kein richtiges Startup mehr, sie existiert schon relativ lange und haltet sich bzw macht kontinuierlich Fortschritte einzig der Kurs passt nicht dazu vor dem Mercedes Hype waren wir teilweise noch viel tiefer es geht darum am Ball zu bleiben weiter zu entwickeln und da zu sein wenn die Technologie Einzug erhält.
Schaut mal die Nachrichtenlage vor fünf Jahren und mehr an da gab's so gut wie nichts darüber zu berichten heute liest man schon fast täglich etwas über Edge und co.
