Der E-Auto-Riese BYD baut im ungarischen Szeged sein erstes europäisches Autowerk. Ende 2026 soll die Produktion starten. In Deutschland wächst das Händlernetz rasant. Nach eigenen Angaben hat BYD inzwischen 200 Händlerverträge unterschrieben. Die Sorge: Kommt mit den Autos auch das Fabrikmodell, das Chinas Aufstieg möglich gemacht hat? Die „FAS“ berichtet aus Chinas Industriezentren von Schichten von zehn bis zwölf Stunden, nur vier freien Tagen im Monat und Löhnen von umgerechnet rund 600 Euro. Rund um die Werke entstehen ganze Fabrikstädte. Viele Beschäftigte leben in Wohnheimen, unabhängige Betriebsräte wie in Deutschland gibt es nicht.

According to Nikkei Asia, per-vehicle profits across seven major automakers dropped in FY2025. Tesla's per-vehicle profit plunged 40% but still led the pack, followed by Toyota, BYD, Stellantis, Ford, VW, and GM.
