Der E-Auto-Riese BYD baut im ungarischen Szeged sein erstes europäisches Autowerk. Ende 2026 soll die Produktion starten. In Deutschland wächst das Händlernetz rasant. Nach eigenen Angaben hat BYD inzwischen 200 Händlerverträge unterschrieben. Die Sorge: Kommt mit den Autos auch das Fabrikmodell, das Chinas Aufstieg möglich gemacht hat? Die „FAS“ berichtet aus Chinas Industriezentren von Schichten von zehn bis zwölf Stunden, nur vier freien Tagen im Monat und Löhnen von umgerechnet rund 600 Euro. Rund um die Werke entstehen ganze Fabrikstädte. Viele Beschäftigte leben in Wohnheimen, unabhängige Betriebsräte wie in Deutschland gibt es nicht.

The company announced that the Thailand plant had reached its second anniversary, BYD and Denza have cumulatively delivered over 130,000 vehicles in Thailand, and the all-new BYD SEALION 5 DM-i Standard was officially launched.

With the official launch set for July 28, #BYD has revealed more details of the RACCO, its first Kei car in #Japan. • Measuring 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall, the RACCO features a Super Height Wagon design popular with Japanese consumers. • Key specs: the entry-level "200" packs a 22.4 kWh battery for 210 km (WLTC); the "300" gets a 35.84 kWh unit good for 320 km. • The rear seats fold flat for up to 1,372 liters of cargo volume. • Other features include a kick-activated power sliding door for hands-free opening even with shopping bags in both hands, an NFC phone key for direct unlocking, a complimentary charging card (3-year basic service fee waiver included), battery preheating to minimise cold-weather charging slowdown, and insulated cup holders for temperature retention.
