BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) delivered a robust growth in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales over the fourth quarter of 2022, which, coupled with better economies of scale, drove the net profit of the period to surge more than 11x on a YoY basis, Jefferies commented in a report.
The management of the automaker expressed its confidence in realizing a domestic sales volume of 3 million units this year. Despite the customers generally adopting the wait-and-see approach amid the intensifying competition and ongoing price war, the NEV penetration of BYD COMPANY climbed to 35% in March, and was forecast to further elevate to 40-45% throughout 2023. As such, the 2023 NEV total sales volume of the firm was estimated to reach 8.5-9 million units.
Correspondingly, Jefferies lifted the 2023-24E sales volume for BYD COMPANY to 3.3 million units and 4.5 million units, respectively, to reflect the strong domestic and export sales potential. The 2023-24E earnings for the company were ramped up by 12%/ 16%. The target price for the stock was hiked from $242 to $262, with its rating restated at Buy. The broker viewed BYD COMPANY as a long-term winner within the sector.

BofA Securities chopped the target price for BYD COMPANY from $400 to $380, with its rating kept at Buy. Based on its 4Q22 results, the broker reduced the 2023-24E revenue for BYD COMPANY by 2%/ 4% and raised the 2023-24E EPS by 14%/ 13%.
The management of BYD COMPANY anticipated the electric vehicle (EV) penetration rate of the firm in China to rise to 40-45% this year, equivalent to a sales volume of 8.5-9 million units, the report mentioned.
Specifically, the collapsing prices of second-hand vehicles, deteriorating profitability of auto dealers, internal conflicts of joint venture brands and diminishing appeal of ICEV models will all contribute to the potential growth of the EV segment, the broker elaborated.

Ich spekuliere derzeit immer noch auf billigere Kurse 2. HJ 23 und halte derzeit mein Geld trocken nur die Sparpläne laufen weiter

@Morpheus33 habe mir nochmal den NIO chart angeschaut. Finde es derzeit echt gefährlich dort nachzukaufen. Chart sieht echt schlecht aus. MACD Trend Umkehr angedeutet. Ebenfalls im RSI. Kurse auf Tagesbasis nicht mal über 38er FIBO des letzten Hochs bei 13,2 Dollar. 31% weg von der 200 Tage Linie. Würde ehrlich gesagt warten bis 200 Tage sicher überschritten und guten Daten vorhanden. Lieber später rein als jetzt ins Ungewisse kaufen. Kenne aber auch nicht dein Budget. Daher nur meine Meinung
Ja, das stimmt, aber fallende Kurse werden immer zum nachkaufen genutzt. Der Kurs war bei 60… da haben ja Leute noch gekauft… ich mit ek 9 bin da ganz entspannt.
