According to the statistical analysis conducted by SNE Research from Jan to Apr 2024, the amount of energy held by batteries for EVs registered worldwide was approximately 215.7GWh, +21.5% YoY.
🔹 #CATL saw a 30% YoY growth and accounted for 37.7% of market share, taking the top position.
🔹 #BYD captured the 2nd place on the list with a 18.3% (33.2GWh) growth.
🔹 The three Korean companies - LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and SK On - occupied the 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions respectively. Among them, SK On showed a -2.0% (10.3GWh) degrowth.
🔹 Panasonic recorded 10.2GWh from Jan to Apr this year and ranked 6th on the list, posting a 29.5% YoY degrowth.

According to sedaily, #BYD's Dolphin and Seal will enter the #Korean market this year. BYD is currently undergoing authorization tests by Korea's environment and industry ministries.
Additionally, BYD has completed most listing prep work, and dealer selection in Korea's capital region is in the final stage.
