CLSA issued a research report saying that the EU has initiated an anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese imports of electric vehicles (EVs). The possible measures and timetable have yet to be finalized. CLSA said that given the relatively small number of Chinese new energy vehicles (NEVs) sold in the EU and the fact that most of them are produced in Europe, the short-term impact of this investigation is expected to be limited. CLSA remained optimistic about the competitiveness of China's NEV in overseas markets, and believed that EU consumers will ultimately place orders based on product competitiveness.
