@Lirumlarum1

Sibanye-Stillwater (JSE: SSW and NYSE: SBSW) welcomes the United States Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminary affirmative determination on 6 March 2026, regarding the countervailing duty (CVD) petition filed by Sibanye‑Stillwater, together with the United Steelworkers Union, on 30 July 2025. Commerce’s preliminary affirmative CVD determination is in addition to the positive preliminary determination announced on 10 February 2026 regarding its anti-dumping duty investigation of US imports of unwrought palladium from Russia (see announcement on 13 Feb 2026).
Commerce announced a preliminary CVD subsidy rate of 109.10% on imports of unwrought palladium from the Russian Federation to the US. The preliminary 109.10% CVD tariff will become effective upon publication of Commerce's final decision in the Federal Register, and will be added to the previously announced 132.83% tariff rate applied in the anti-dumping case, for a total preliminary tariff of 241.93% on all US imports of unwrought palladium from Russia. In addition to Commerce's investigations, the United States International Trade Commission is conducting a concurrent injury determination, with a final hearing set for 27 April 2026. The ITC’s final decision will be issued on 19 May 2026.
Richard Stewart, CEO of Sibanye-Stillwater commenting on the preliminary CVD determination said: “The affirmative preliminary countervailing duty determination, together with the affirmative preliminary anti-dumping determination, validates our actions, jointly with the United Steelworkers Union, to ensure a more level playing field which will protect strategically important US production of critical minerals. Our US PGM operations conform to more stringent environmental and labour regulations and to tax structures designed to support our local communities in Montana. We are grateful for our stakeholders' unwavering support in advancing these trade remedies and look forward to the final determination."

Board committee structure and change to five Board committees
Following the annual review of governance effectiveness and in line with the simplification drive across the Group, the Board has approved changes to its committee structures, effective from the close of the 2026 Annual General Meeting scheduled for 28 May 2026 (the AGM). The Board advises that it will operate five Board committees, namely:
