DOW JONES--Die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) wird ihren Leitzins nach Aussage ihres Chefvolkswirts Philip Lane wahrscheinlich nicht unter 1,5 Prozent oder in großen Schritten senken. Die EZB hat ihren Leitzins im vergangenen Monat zum siebten Mal seit Juni 2024 gesenkt, auf 2,25 Prozent. Die nächste EZB-Ratssitzung findet in der kommenden Woche statt und Anleger erwarten eine weitere Senkung des Leitzinses auf 2 Prozent. In einem Interview mit der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung sagte Lane, dass weitere Zinssenkungen wahrscheinlich seien, wenn die Geldpolitiker Anzeichen für einen weiteren Rückgang der Inflation sähen, die in die Nähe des Zieles von 2 Prozent gesunken ist. "Sehen wir Anzeichen weiter sinkender Inflation, reagieren wir mit weiteren Zinssenkungen - aber die Diskussion bewegt sich in keinem sehr breiten Rahmen: Niemand spricht über dramatische Zinssenkungen", sagte Lane. Die EZB würde die Kreditkosten aber nur bis zu einem gewissen Grad senken, um die Wirtschaft zu stützen und die Inflation anzukurbeln, es sei denn, es komme zu einer erheblichen Abschwächung der Wirtschaft in der Eurozone. The analysts said that while Vonovia’s recent €1.3 billion convertible bond issuance adds modest financial upside, it comes amid broader market recalibrations and a surprise CEO change that clouds visibility on the company’s long-term strategic direction. On May 13, Vonovia placed two tranches of senior unsecured convertible bonds, each worth €650 million, with maturities in 2030 and 2032.
