And now it’s time for local fund managers to get to know it a little bit better. ** ** Lithium play Vulcan Energy is about to launch a roadshow. AP ** Street Talk understands $620 million tearaway Vulcan Energy is gearing up for a three day roadshow this week with help from Canaccord Genuity. ** The capital-hungry company is expected to talk funds through its goal of becoming the “world’s first” zero carbon lithium producer, via its plans to build a lithium extraction and processing plant in the Upper Rhine Valley in western Germany. ** A pre-feasibility study (PFS) for the project was released to the market in mid-January, which said Vulcan’s proposed project would be able to produce lithium at €2640 ($4138) a tonne, “lower than any current operation globally”. ** Phase one of the project – pegged to start in 2024 – requires €226 million to build two geothermal energy plants and €474 million for lithium extraction and processing plants. The geothermal energy produced by Vulcan would be used to power its lithium processing facilities, meaning the project would have a net zero carbon footprint. ** That PFS release landed the same day it was revealed that Gina Rinehart’s son and AFR Rich Lister John Hancock had taken 5.2 per cent stake in Vulcan, and had been trading the stock since June last year. ** For fund managers, the release of a PFS quickly followed by a roadshow – plus the news of a high profile investor landing on the register – spells one thing: a capital raising on the horizon. Vulcan’s not widely owned by Australian institutions; its biggest shareholder is MD Francis Wedlin, while other substantial owners include Hancock and Vivien Enterprises Pte Ltd. ** While this column is not suggesting a deal will launch on Wednesday morning, where there’s roadshow smoke there’s normally fire, and Vulcan has got a few things on its plate that it might need a cash injection to help fund. ** High on the list is getting a definitive feasibility study for its German project underway and scaling up its lithium extraction test-work. The company is also in the process of talking to potential European partners about lithium offtake agreements. ** Vulcan Energy most recently raised equity in June 2020 at 40¢ a share. An die Enterprise Crew... sehe ich ähnlich. Wenn wir mal ehrlich sind war die Korrektur überfällig. RSI bei 0,995 ... das musste jetzt mal abkühlen. Bin weiter mit einem Durchschnittspreis von 2€ drin. Ärgere mich was, dass ich bei 5,50€ zu gierig wurde und nachgekauft hatte (sonst hätte ich 1,55€).

Hey Spock, 🖖🏻absolut! Man muss auch sagen, dass in Australien richtig viel über VUL geworben wird. An der ASX steht VUL als Wochengewinner, Twitter und Co. Beziehen sich ebenfalls auf heimische Reportagen. Es braucht einfach Zeit..,.

Wenn die Daytrader und andere Zocker sich teils blutige Finger geholt haben - an der ASX haben wir ja Kurse von 14,20 AU$ gesehen - dann sind die Chancen sehr gut auf eine entspannte Phase bis zu den nächsten Kurse beeinflussenden Veröffentlichungen.

Das Handelsvolumen ist im vergleich zur letzten Woche sehr stark zurückgegangen, so langsam könnten die preise sich eingependelt haben
