BioNTech - Eine Einordnung der jüngsten Marburg-News: Den allerersten Produktionsschritt, qualitätskritisch und potenziell mit ein paar Kniffen versehen, die die liebe Konkurrenz nicht mit bekommen soll, ins eigene Haus zu holen, macht strategisch auf jeden Fall Sinn. Und wenn das gerade mal 40 Mio. gekostet hat, und zu Ersparnis beim Fremdbezug führt, umso mehr. Marburg hat jetzt ein vergleichbares Profil wie die US-Firma Aldevron, die kürzlich für etwa 10 Mrd. USD von Danaher übernommen wurde. Marburg alleine, als Werk, wohlgemerkt. Ohne all die Werte, der in Mainz und anderswo geschaffen werden. Der entsprechende Anbieter, Aldevron, wurde übrigens vor einem guten Jahr übernommen und war dem Käufer #danaher knapp 10 Mrd. USD wert. Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) (the "Company") announced today that Danaher has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held Aldevron, for a cash purchase price of approximately $9.6 billion. Danaher expects to finance the acquisition using cash on hand and/or proceeds from the issuance of commercial paper. Founded in 1998 by Michael Chambers and John Ballantyne, Aldevron is headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota and employs approximately 600 people. Aldevron manufactures high-quality plasmid DNA, mRNA, and proteins, serving biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers across research, clinical and commercial applications. Aldevron will operate as a standalone operating company and brand within Danaher's Life Sciences segment. 600 Mitarbeiter, mit Produktionskette über den gesamten Prozess der mRNA-Herstellung. Wohl grob vergleichbar mit dem Marburger Werk von BioNTech. Wenn das alleine, samt dort inkorporiertem Fertigungs-Know How, schon so um die 10 Mrd.
