BYD has new battery product for commercial vehicles
B30 battery can supply 100-700kWh packs
Achieved 170Wh/Kg energy density at pack level
Weichai launched EHPro 135 light truck using 135kWh liquid cooled blade battery achieving 400+km range & sold 2400 to logistics companies
Finally getting to the pt where battery cost & energy density are low enough to allow for mass NEV adoption in light/medium trucking, construction, coaches and buses
Upfront cost likely to be quite a bit higher, but fuel cost savings will make up for that
Keep this in mind. If a light truck uses 150kWh battery pack and if price of battery drops from 1000 to 400 RMB/kWh. Then battery cost drops from 150k RMB to 60k RMB. That makes a huge difference when diesel trucks are being sold for 120k RMB

Testing heating, braking, energy consumption, driving range, low-temp charging, BMS perf..
BYD industry 1st light truck BSC on T5DM showed 4x improvement in response time & 50% in emergency braking
BYD has yet to make great in road so far in trucking sales
But w/ the impressive tech & low cost now on display w/ T5DM, will it sell more PHEV trucks this year or license this techs for others (like Weichai)?
