KeyBanc Capital Markets upgrades Micron (NASDAQ:MU) from Sector Weight to Overweight. • Analyst Weston Twigg cites yesterday’s positive Q2 preannouncement and the appointment of the new CFO. • Micron will report earnings on March 22.

Stifel raises its Micron (NASDAQ:MU) price target from $75 to $85, more than double yesterday’s closing price. • Target increase follows a surprise Q2 update and CFO retirement announcement.  • Firm says pre-announcement is evidence of a changed industry where consolidation, new management strategies, and diverse end markets dampen the notorious cycles.  • Stifel calls Micron’s current valuation very compelling trading at 4x CY18 EPS.  • Source: Briefing.com. 

Micron (NASDAQ:MU) updates its Q2 guidance to revenue of $7.2B to $7.35B (prior: $6.8B to $7.2B; consensus: $7.02B). • EPS updates to $2.70 to $2.75 (prior: $2.51 to $2.65; consensus: $2.57).  • Micron also announces the appointment of David Zinsner to SVP and CFO, effective Feb. 19.  • Zinsner replaces the retiring Ernie Maddock.
