China Blocks Nvidia’s H200 AI Chips, Clouding Stock Outlook Ran Melamed Jan 14, 2026, 08:52 AM China has instructed customs agents not to allow the H200 chip from Nvidia NVDA +0.47% ▲ into the country, Reuters reported. The H200 is Nvidia’s second most powerful AI chip and has been a key focus in the growing tech tension between the U.S. and China. Officials in Beijing also told domestic tech firms not to buy the chip unless absolutely needed. While no formal reasons were given, the language used was strict enough that the move looks like a temporary ban. Claim 70% Off TipRanks Premium Unlock hedge fund-level data and powerful investing tools for smarter, sharper decisions Stay ahead of the market with the latest news and analysis and maximize your portfolio's potential The order comes after the U.S. approved limited exports of the H200 to China under new conditions. Those rules capped sales so that Chinese buyers could not account for more than half of Nvidia’s global shipments of the chip. However, China’s new restrictions now make it unclear whether any H200 orders will move forward.

Jetzt hast du aber einen Lauf Junge Junge.😶‍🌫️

Nvidia Gets U.S. Approval to Ship AI Chips to China. Now It Waits on Beijing. By Adam Clark Jan 14, 2026, 3:26 am EST Nvidia has got approval from U.S. authorities to ship artificial-intelligence chips to China. But it is still facing an anxious wait to see if the Chinese government will allow sales to go ahead. Nvidia shares were flat in after-hours trading Tuesday. The stock rose 0.5% during Tuesday’s trading session. There wasn’t much of a stock reaction to news that the Trump administration had finalized the requirements for Nvidia to sell its H200 chips in China, with the market waiting for confirmation from Beijing. Nvidia must ensure sufficient supply of AI chips in the U.S., and its customers have to demonstrate adequate security procedures before the processors can be shipped, the U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security said in a rule published Tuesday. However, Chinese customs authorities have told their agents that H200 chips are not permitted to enter China and government officials have instructed domestic companies not to buy the hardware unless necessary, Reuters reported, citing people briefed on the matter. Nvidia didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment early on Wednesday. Chinese companies would be willing to buy around 1.5 million of the H200 chips, representing roughly $30 billion in revenue, according to KeyBanc analyst John Vinh. Nvidia has agreed to pass on a 25% cut of the sales to the U.S. government. President Donald Trump previously said the government would allow Advanced Micro Devices and Intel to do similar deals to sell chips in China.

Nvidia: Reopened China Market and H200 Exports Unlock Significant Upside and Support Buy Rating TipRanks Auto-Generated Intelligence Newsdesk Jan 14, 2026, 07:35 AM Nvidia: Reopened China Market and H200 Exports Unlock Significant Upside and Support Buy Rating Wells Fargo analyst Aaron Rakers maintained a Buy rating on Nvidia yesterday and set a price target of $265.00. Claim 70% Off TipRanks Premium Unlock hedge fund-level data and powerful investing tools for smarter, sharper decisions Stay ahead of the market with the latest news and analysis and maximize your portfolio's potential Aaron Rakers has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to Nvidia’s renewed China opportunity and the scale of incremental earnings power. He emphasizes that U.S. government approval for exporting H200 GPUs to China effectively reopens a major end-market that had been constrained by prior export controls, with China historically representing roughly one-fifth to one-quarter of Nvidia’s data center revenue. Based on his analysis, resumed H200 shipments could translate into an additional $25–30 billion in annual revenue and an estimated $0.60–0.70 per share in non-GAAP EPS, underscoring substantial upside relative to current forecasts. He also points to indications of extremely strong demand, including large Chinese orders and Nvidia’s efforts to secure greater H200 production capacity from TSMC, which support confidence in the sustainability of this revenue stream. Rakers notes that Nvidia appears operationally ready to ramp these exports quickly, with inventory on hand sufficient to meet a meaningful portion of near-term Chinese demand. While acknowledging that China may still impose its own restrictions and that U.S. approvals cap China-bound volumes at no more than half of U.S. sales, he views the net effect as materially positive for Nvidia’s growth profile. He incorporates the prior impact from the H20 export ban on Nvidia’s recent quarters to highlight how the restoration of Chinese data center sales can reverse a notable headwind. Taken together, these demand, policy, and earnings dynamics underpin his conviction that Nvidia’s stock continues to offer attractive risk-reward, justifying his Buy recommendation. https://archive.is/BllKs#selection-2883.0-2989.766
