It may be getting sufficient electricity to new data centers on schedule. At one site near Salt Lake City, natural gas was trucked in for more than a year while a pipeline was completed. Oracle is already deploying or testing comparable “virtual pipeline” solutions at three sites. while there is a simple reason: client contracts include deadlines for delivery, while pipes, utilities hookups and permits can take much longer. This imbalance causes considerable financial strain. The analysis found that trucked natural gas can cost four times as much as pipeline supplies. Pipeline difficulties have pushed back the timeline for Oracle's 2.45-gigawatt campus at Project Jupiter, New Mexico, the company is evaluating a strategy. This is where Oracle's AI proposition becomes an execution narrative for investors. The corporation has lots of signed demand, but establishing enough capacity fast may involve costly workarounds and ongoing capital investment. This is especially crucial because Oracle is already negative free cash flow, and growing fast.
