Am 23.07 stehen die Plastikschüssel-Finanzdaten für das 2 Q an. Hat die Plastikschüssel eine bei den Absatzzahlen immense Rabatte „erkauft“ ⁉️.

Bernstein notes Tesla reported Q2 deliveries of 444K, slightly above sell-side consensus and better than buyside expectations of about 420K. Unit growth in Q2 declined year-over-year for the second straight quarter, and the firm does not believe that Tesla will achieve its goal of growing unit deliveries this year unless it materially cuts price/provides very favorable financing, pressuring margins and free cash flow. Further, Bernstein does not see a lower cost Model 2 arriving in volume before 2026, and anticipates that "new lower cost" models in 2025 will be relatively modest tweaks, akin to the Model 3 Highland, which are unlikely to meaningfully stimulate demand. The firm has an Underperform rating on the shares with a price target of $120.

JPMorgan says Tesla's Q2 sales and production figures showed the company's vehicle deliveries declined year-over-year for a second straight quarter amid a global battery electric vehicle market that the firm estimates grew 22% year-over-year in Q2, "implying significant share loss." JPMorgan estimates Tesla also lost ground versus the total auto industry and even versus the global market for internal combustion engine powered vehicles.
It attributes yesterday's shared rally to Tesla's sales not falling by even more, the company finally reversing the trend of producing materially more vehicles than consumers wanted, and the appearance of gaining material traction in its energy storage segment. JPMorgan keeps an Underweight rating on Tesla with a $115 price target. The firm points out Tesla's Q2 deliveries were 22% less than the consensus estimate at the start of the year when the shares were half their current level.
